First Raffle prize received :-)

Good evening readers!

This week, on top of work and the usual social shenanigans, I have been brain storming ideas for fundraising activities and started to write to local companies in the hope of securing either sponsorship or raffle prizes. Two events I plan to hold in the coming months are a quiz night (with raffle) and an online silent auction. I met with one of my best friends Ali last night and we talked about possible venues for my quiz night and how to go about organising it so as soon as something is booked I will let you all know! In the meantime I am on a quest for raffle prizes and was delighted to receive a letter in the post today from "The Royal Yacht Britannia" containing a family pass for a visit to Her Majesty's yacht, berthed in Leith. A big thumbs up to them for their generosity! I am sure the winners of this prize will have a great day out!

Also this week I have rejoined the gym and worked out a rough training plan, although I have booked a free session with a personal trainer next week to get an actual plan made up which will help me reach my goals. Not only do I need to improve my stamina and fitness I need to consider the fact that I will be hiking at altitude, +4000m some days so I really need to be as fit and healthy as possible. If I am entirely honest the prospect of going to the gym or doing any kind of exercise really fills me with dread but as soon as I am there and the endorphins kick in I find I actually enjoy it! Can't ever see myself as one of those people who manages the gym before work though I have to say!

Sx
